A message to the cast, crew and all other volunteers of the 2008 cycle of the Chester Mystery Plays and more recently to those of you who gave up your time to take part in the Second Coming last week-end in Liverpool Cathedral.
Thank you all so much for the enormous personal contribution you have made as individuals to the 2008 cycle. It hasn’t always been easy, in fact at times I know it has been rather tough, however, I can now say that you have succeeded in putting the plays onto a new level with your combined talents and professionalism.
Last Saturday’s performance of The Second Coming was everything I had hoped for. It was “spectacularly good” to quote just one of the many emails and cards I have received since then and your final spontaneous standing ovation was well deserved.
I think we can now close this particular chapter of our plays with a feeling of immense satisfaction and look forward to the planning for 2013. I have, at the moment, no idea how we follow what has been achieved this time but follow it we will.
Please keep in touch with each other and with me via the website and we will let you know as plans for the future begin to develop.
Warmest wishes and thanks again to you all.

A letter to the Company
Dear Jo,
just a note to let you know my brother John died 5 days after seeing the performance in the cathedral. At his funeral at his own church in Bristol, a special mention was made of the CMP, and how much it meant to him.
On behalf of Jackie his wife, his 2 sons, myself and his other brothers and sister, I would just like to say a very big and heart felt thank you again for such a special night and for all your kindness shown to us all.
It is and always will be a truly special memory, and one which helped all of us so much in the last few days of his life.
God bless you and all the members of CMP.
With kindest regards,
Steve Elliott
